CCTV Specialist

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company who is looking to recruit a CCTV Specialist to join their team in Bogota, Colombia.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure CCTV systems are fully operational, well-maintained, and consistently monitored, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Oversee the control room and ensure all equipment functions efficiently with timely maintenance and servicing
Monitor camera status daily, ensuring clear visuals, proper recording, and full system connectivity
Install, configure, and manage VMS applications such as Milestone, AXIS Camera Station, or Hikvision
Troubleshoot technical issues, implement system improvements, and perform regular preventive maintenance
Train and support CCTV operators, ensuring proper system use and adherence to procedures
Collaborate with Network and Storage teams to ensure data integrity, connectivity, and system reliability
Maintain CCTV software on all devices and provide 24/7 on-call support for any CCTV emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Native/fluent in Spanish, with good command in English, both verbal and written
Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation/Control System Engineering
Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and related software
Proven experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CCTV setups
Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments
Experience with Milestone or similar VMS platforms preferred
Familiarity with SAN, NAS, and DAS storage systems preferred
Working knowledge of LAN administration, user management, and backups
Experience with server and storage hardware (HP, Dell, EMC, Blade) preferred
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking
Available to respond CCTV emergencies around the clock.
