David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company who is looking to recruit a Lighting Specialist to join their team in Bucharest, Romania.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, organize, and set up professional lighting equipment on set according to production plans and instructions from the department lead
Assemble and position lighting gear including Fresnels, LED panels, fluorescent tubes, HMIs, ballasts, dimmers, modifiers, and support systems
Manage and maintain lighting cables and DMX connections, including labeling, coiling, and ensuring proper condition and organization
Support lighting focus and adjustments during rehearsals and live or recorded productions
Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues related to lighting equipment and connections
Contribute to the inventory management, maintenance, and organization of lighting equipment within the department
Follow on-set safety procedures and maintain clear communication with the production and technical teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
Basic to intermediate knowledge of professional lighting systems used in film, television, or live event environments
Experience assembling and dismantling technical equipment through academic training or professional experience
Ability to work collaboratively within a technical team, follow instructions, and perform effectively in fast-paced production environments
Physical ability to lift, move, and handle technical equipment safely
Intermediate level of English, with the ability to understand technical instructions and communicate with international teams
Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required
Basic knowledge of electricity, DMX signal control, light metering, or cinematography principles is considered an advantage
Technical or vocational training in audiovisual production, electricity, electronics, or related fields
Proactive mindset, strong sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn and grow within the lighting department.
