David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a multinational financial services company specialising in online trading who is seeking to onboard a Trading Platform Administrator to join their team in Limassol.
Position: Trading Platform Administrator
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Employment type: Full-time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and optimize server environments to ensure high performance, stability, and security.
- Administer and maintain platform configurations, including user access, security settings, and data backups.
- Monitor system performance using tools such as Zabbix (or equivalent) and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Apply regular system updates, patches, and enhancements to maintain security and efficiency.
- Configure and manage platform plugins, extensions, and integrations with third-party applications.
- Oversee and optimize connectivity protocols (e.g., FIX API) to ensure seamless integration with external systems.
- Support failover procedures and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., trading, risk management, or operations) to implement platform improvements, risk controls, and compliance measures.
- Automate and streamline administrative tasks through scripting and automation tools.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in platform administration, system management, or a similar role (experience with trading platforms such as MT4/MT5 is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of server administration, networking, and system security principles.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) and automation frameworks.
- Experience with managing APIs, plugins, or system integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
