Audio-Visual Technician (Serbian)

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who is looking to recruit a Audio-Visual Technician to join their team in Belgrade.
Position: Audio-Visual Technician
Location: Belgrade, Serbia

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install various AV and IT equipment in new studios based on plans or diagrams provided by the Broadcast Engineer
- Assemble professional video cameras, including lenses, on-board monitors, and power supplies
- Install video cameras in studios and connect them to server room equipment via SDI wires
- Ensure digital video signals from cameras reach intended equipment such as video switchers, capturing devices, and monitors
- Run low-voltage wiring (Video, Audio, and Network Cabling) throughout the studios, including server racks, cameras, and NVR/DVR installations
- Handle SDI, XLR, and Ethernet cabling; wire tipping, crimping, and testing are key aspects of the installation process
- Install studio lighting fixtures and modifiers as per the lighting design
- Troubleshoot and repair technical issues with equipment and systems
- Minimize service interruptions by swiftly identifying and implementing alternative solutions when equipment failures occur.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in Serbian (C1) and English (at least B2) both verbal and written
- Experience in assembling, disassembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing computers/hardware
- Familiarity with basic test equipment such as mustimeters and knowledge of AC/DC circuitry is preferred
- Experience in installing and soldering components on printed circuit boards based on specifications
- Basic knowledge of installing operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Ability to install and configure computer peripherals such as monitors, scanners, and additional hardware
- Basic understanding of television control room environments.
- Willingness to learn new technical skills
- Basic operating knowledge of video cameras
- Understanding of sound equipment such as microphones and audio mixers
- Familiarity with photography concepts (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, camera lenses) is a plus.
