About the Role:

We are looking for an Occupational Safety Technician to support the implementation of preventive actions, hazard control, and legal compliance across the organisation. This role plays a key part in strengthening the company’s safety culture, ensuring adherence to Brazilian OHS regulations, and supporting SESMT in delivering effective technical performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse root causes, and follow up on corrective measures.
• Promote and deliver OHS training, workshops, and awareness campaigns across the organisation.
• Ensure proper use, documentation, and control of PPE and collective protection systems.
• Maintain mandatory OHS records, reports, and NR-4 documentation in full legal compliance.
• Advise operational teams on safety standards, procedures, and risk controls for daily activities.
• Participate in emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and first-aid activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with OHS requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced proficiency in English (at least B2), both written and spoken
• Technical degree in Occupational Safety (Técnico em Segurança do Trabalho) or equivalent recognised in Brazil and registered as required by NR-4, Annex II.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in occupational safety roles, ideally in industrial or high-risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian OHS legislation including NR-4, NR-1, NR-5, NR-6, and related regulations.
• Proficiency in safety inspection tools, reporting, and risk assessment with strong analytical and communication skills.
