David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Lighting Department Manager for their offices in Ras Al Khaimah.
Position: Lighting Department Manager
Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Employment type: Full-time
Remuneration: Base salary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the department within a fast-paced, live production environment, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with overall production goals.
- Establish, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high standards and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with directors, producers, and technical teams to coordinate strategies that support production requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing training and fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment.
- Oversee inventory, maintenance, and allocation of equipment and resources, ensuring readiness under tight deadlines while driving innovation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate records of equipment, maintenance, and departmental activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, while preparing reports for senior leadership and staying informed on industry developments to improve operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in English, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a live production, broadcast, or similar technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant equipment, systems, and techniques, with a solid understanding of applicable safety standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team, with experience in performance management and staff development.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and provide clear reporting to senior management.
- Proactive, innovative, and flexible
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.
