David Kennedy Recruitment is working with global financial market platform company who is looking to hire a Risk Manager.
Position: Risk Manager
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Employment type: Full-time
Remuneration: Base salary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures
- Identify, evaluate, monitor, and report various types of risks including operational, market, credit, liquidity, and compliance risks
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and stress testing to evaluate the firm’s risk exposure
- Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal governance policies
- Work closely with executive leadership to assess the company’s risk profile and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with internal departments to promote risk awareness and integrate risk considerations into decision-making processes
- Support the launch of new products or services by assessing potential risk impacts
- Collaborate with compliance, audit, and anti-financial crime functions to maintain a cohesive risk strategy
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt risk management practices accordingly
- Report directly to the board of directors or relevant risk oversight committees, as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native/fluent in English (C1), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certification in financial regulation or risk management (e.g., regulatory license, risk certification)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a risk-related role within a regulated financial services firm
- Previous experience in stocks will be considered an advantage
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and industry standards
- Proficient in using risk reporting tools and data analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
