David Kennedy Recruitment is working with global financial market platform company who is looking to hire a Risk Manager. 

Position: Risk Manager

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures
• Identify, evaluate, monitor, and report various types of risks including operational, market, credit, liquidity, and compliance risks
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and stress testing to evaluate the firm’s risk exposure
• Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal governance policies
• Work closely with executive leadership to assess the company’s risk profile and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with internal departments to promote risk awareness and integrate risk considerations into decision-making processes
• Support the launch of new products or services by assessing potential risk impacts
• Collaborate with compliance, audit, and anti-financial crime functions to maintain a cohesive risk strategy
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt risk management practices accordingly
• Report directly to the board of directors or relevant risk oversight committees, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native/fluent in English (C1), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certification in financial regulation or risk management (e.g., regulatory license, risk certification)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a risk-related role within a regulated financial services firm
• Previous experience in stocks will be considered an advantage
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and industry standards
• Proficient in using risk reporting tools and data analysis techniques
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to clearly communicate complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
