David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit an IT System Administrator for their Gaming studios in Belgrade, Serbia.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of operating systems, server hardware, and software applications, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. 
• Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and reliability. 
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact operations. 
• Optimize system efficiency through adjustments, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect systems, applications, and data. 
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, apply necessary patches, and ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity. Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure quick and effective execution during emergencies.
• Provide advanced technical support to resolve system-related issues, including hardware, software, and network challenges. 
• Collaborate with other teams to support projects and ensure smooth system operations.
• Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives and ensure system scalability and reliability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
• At least 5 years of experience in system administration, particularly in large or complex environments. Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong expertise in managing essential services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficient in automation and scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Familiarity with storage systems and backup tools, such as Veeam, is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of system performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities for technical reporting and user support.
• Relevant certifications in IT support, networking, or operating systems are a plus.
• Familiarity with streaming and broadcasting equipment is an advantage.
